Despite having lived in many different places, she always found herself returning to the Spanish capital. Martha feels fortunate to have lived in Rome, Florence, Gourock and St. Andrews (the latter two both in Scotland). She maintains a fondness also for Athens, a place where she has left part of her heart.
Martha studied both Italian and English Philology in the Complutense University of Madrid. Subsequently, she specialized in 19th century Gothic Literature in the University of St. Andrews. For many years she worked as a teacher of English, Italian and Spanish as foreign languages, until she left teaching to dedicate herself to the translation of journals and novels.
In 2003 she won the Jóvenes Talentos Booket prize for her work ‘Buenos Aires, 22 de diciembre.’ Since 2014 she has published a range of novels, as much for children as for the adult public.voir moins
