Paris Society is making a splash with Bonnie, a chic and trendy restaurant-club perched on the 16th floor of the brand new and posh SO/ Paris Hôtel, the first Parisian location of the Ennismore group from London. We love the breathtaking view over Île-Saint-Louis, as well as the River Seine and the Eiffel Tower that surges up from the horizon line. The very space age decor features a thick psychedelic carpet, opulent and comfortable bench seats with a lunar design – reminiscent of the 1960s – and a futuristic installation by artists Olafur Eliasson and Sebastian Benham who, in conjunction with Studio Other Spaces, have created an artwork that transforms the bay windows and mirror ceiling into a machine that heightens perceptions, duplicating the landscape and inverting perspectives. The chic Parisian brasserie menu deliberately jumps across the Atlantic to borrow a few iconic culinary specialties from New York: mixed salad with foie gras, artichokes, green beans and smoked duck breast (€35), cobb salad with poultry, Fourme d’Ambert cheese, bacon and egg (€32), roasted half-lobster with butter, fries and lemon mayonnaise (€59) and roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and truffle jus (€36) have already brought joy to a
