When she was young, she endured several difficult situations when her mother became seriously ill and later when her best friend died in a car accident. It was during these tough times that Katrena fell deep into reading and began writing her own stories. One of Katrena's favorite authors has always been Terry Goodkind. He is her role model and hero.
