He was awarded the OBE in 1991 for Services to Technical Education in Ghana. During his time working in Ghana, from 1971 to 1997, his three sons were at boarding school in England. The stories in this book originally accompanied his weekly letters to his sons. In recent years, John Powell has been involved in teaching English to children and secondary school English teachers in Vietnam.voir moins
