She has worked in early childhood education for more than thirty years; she is an adjunct professor at a two-year college in the Early Childhood Department and a child care director. Leaving Trinidad and moving to the United States was a difficult decision, but it was intentional. She was in pursuit of higher education, but it was important to stay connected with family and help her children understand the dynamics of family relationships. She has since completed the doctoral program and continues to work in early childhood education. Her mother did not live to see her complete her course of studies, but the frequent visits during summer time left beautiful memories in the minds of her two children.voir moins
