Many of the locations where the novel's principal character, Sam Adams' romantic escapades took place, were familiar to the author as a result of his own real life adventures experienced when he was attending college, on active military duty, and while working on actual engineering projects. The description of some of Sam's graduate studies and his engineering projects reflect a high degree of authenticity based on the author's own experience as a Civil Engineer.voir moins
