He holds The Texas State Certification Board of Alcohol and Drug Counseling, Certified Prevention Specialists. He is a board-certified belief therapist, marriage and family therapist, and a licensed addiction counselor in belief therapy. Although God has called him to be the pastor of Living Word Global Ministries, he has counseled and taught inner-city students for over forty years.
Dr. Byrd has been televised and has traveled across the nation and many other countries and as a lecturer and conference speaker on his books. He is the author of No Future without Forgiveness for teens as well as Deal with the Hurt, or the Hurt Will Deal with You, Speaking God’s Promises: Changing Your World, Attitude of Gratitude True Worship, and his latest book, Saved by Hope. Although God has called him to be the pastor of Living Word Global Ministries, he has counseled and taught inner-city students for over forty years. Dr. Byrd counsels and teaches about godly principles that lead to a successful life.
Although he conducts counseling in the school setting, he has over forty years of church ministry. Dr. Byrd loves people. He says because he has experienced the life-changing power of God in his life, it is his desire for others to know and experience that same positive impact of God in their lives.
