In 1981, I graduated from Jackson State University with a B.S. in education and worked for Miami-Dade Public Schools and for custom for a brief time. In 1994, I was married to my husband named Lewis Turner Sr., who passed away in 2000. I spent several years grieving for my husband’s death but, eventually, was delivered then moved on with my life. I am a single mother of five kids, two adult daughters and three sons.
The Poetic Courier is a book I wrote after the death of my sister in June 2014 to ease the pain of my grieving. I would like to thank my children—Erica, Felicia, Lewis, Isaac, and Vincent—for supporting me in my endeavors of writing this book.voir moins
