I entered the army after high school. Upon leaving the army in 1955 I moved to Alaska to work construction.
In 1957 I married, then entered the University of Alaska. After being employed in teaching and school administration during the winter and construction or commercial fishing during the summer for twenty-three years, I retired from education in 1983. A pattern of commercial fishing in the Aleutian Islands summers hunting and hiking in the Brooks Range in the autumn, and winter skiing in Anchorage exists to the present. We have four children and twelve grandchildren.voir moins
