An indication of the breath of his responsibility after a decade following Smith’s retirement, the Weyerhaeuser Shipping Container Division was sold to International Paper Company for in excess of $6 billion, cash.
After writing his first book, a financial planning book, "The Path to a Successful Retirement," his kids encouraged him to become an author of historical novels and tell about growing up in Philadelphia, during Prohibition, The Great Depression, and WWII. A period quickly fading from memory. The title of that book was "The O’Donnells of Philadelphia". His other half-dozen novels that followed make Smith the authority on Irish-American History.voir moins
