I was happy with my other career for nearly fifteen years until I faced some personal setbacks and began to take stock of my life. Stressed over the usual (and not so usual) problems that come with just living, I think I wanted to escape reality just a little, so I picked up Fifty Shades of Grey. It was the first novel I read in the genre and I was hooked. I began reading Romance novels voraciously, I still do. Then something occurred to me, I thought to myself that I could possibly write one on my own. I don’t know why I felt this way, but on Christmas Day, 2013, the idea for my first novel popped into my head. Everything flowed, the story, the characters and even some of the dialogue. Realizing that this sort of thing does not happen everyday, at least not to me, on December 26th I sat down at my laptop and never looked back. I finished this first book rather quickly (self-editing took a long time, something I would prefer to not have to do again) and I am now currently working on three more novels. I have never been happier...I'm also a sucker for happy endings, a lover of strong coffee, late nights and any good conversation that stays rattling around in my brain for awhile...voir moins
