In this narrative poem, she describes what it might have been like for her two oldest children as they made the trip from their homeland to America. The story is a composite of their collective experience gleaned from her observations of their reactions, and depictions from her own imagination. Now a grandmother, Janet looks forward to reading this story to her grandchildren.voir moins
