She worked in sales for twelve years in both Mississippi and Louisiana. In 2006, she was diagnosed with pregnancy-induced congestive heart failure after delivering her twin boys. As she was recovering, she began praying for inspiration to change her life, unsure if she would ever return to her career in sales. Though her health improved, she was consumed with the desire to share her story and faith with women across the South. She began writing and illustrating the stories from her heart, and has now published It’s A Southern Tradition, The Secret of the Pearls, and God’s Promises to His li’l Sweeteas. She hopes to launch Pure Heart Ministries in 2011 with the mission of equipping mothers and daughters to set their hearts on eternity and experience God today!!!
