Alexander Sherman was born October 12, 1923 and grew up in Leningrad, U.S.S.R. (now St. Petersburg, Russia). He attended a Military Training University and attained the rank of Captain in the Red Army during World War II. During a fierce battle at the front he was severely wounded by shrapnel and received the Order of the Red Star for his courage. After the war he became a teacher and an attorney. In 1979 he and his wife immigrated to the United States and lives in Baltimore, MD. Over the past 30 years he has travelled all over the world including Europe and Israel. He has published three books in Russian, enjoys his extensive library of over 12,000 volumes and brings joy, warmth and love to his whole family every day.voir moins
