Over the past decade, I've had opportunities to work on AdWords accounts of all shapes and sizes. My clients have included an international telecom, two national toy companies, two software-as-a-service brands, a dentist, a plumber, a gold coin retailer, an e-commerce website for industrial replacement parts, a flooring contractor, a business filing provider, a top-level domain, a luxury lifestyle blog, a mutual fund ratings company, a 100-year-old watch company, an architecture school, a website that sells matzo and other kosher fare, and these are just the ones I can remember.
Business owners come to me in a panic because they just don’t understand why AdWords isn’t working. Oftentimes, they’ve turned to agencies or outside account managers who haven’t been able to create results. Sometimes, those agencies and account managers come calling, too.
The unfortunate truth is AdWords is easy to use, but it’s difficult to master. Most consultants aren’t worth their salt, and too much of my work is cleaning up theirs. But in the process, I’ve saved companies thousands of wasted dollars and helped their brands succeed online.
