His published books include Journalism in America (1958), The Most Common Mistakes in English Usage (1961), Values in American Culture (1966), The Biographer’s Craft (1967), The Study of Language: An Introduction (1970), and The Craft of Writing (1974).
His textbook Journalism Today was the most widely used in its field. He was a contributing editor of A Mass Communications Dictionary and wrote numerous articles for professional journals.
Berry received his Ph.D. in 1949. His dissertation was titled “A History of the Recent Translations of the American Novel into Spanish.”voir moins
