Forty-six years ago shortly after his future wife Shareen moved to California with her family Lee hitch-hiked out to California to be with her. They will begin their 44th year of marriage in June of 2015. Shareen retired this year after 40 years as an elementary educator.They have a daughter who is a dog trainer and also raises Australian Shepherds.Lee began his college education at Alfred University in Alfred, New York and while working full time completed his BA in Business at Chapman College (now Chapman University) in Orange, California.His 40 plus years in the business world include 8 years managing in the manufacturing and warehousing of plastic products, 4 years managing furniture and sporting goods retail operations and 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry. managing and directing distribution operations, customer service and IT projects. Ten years ago after losing his position to outsourcing he reinvented himself and became a real estate agent. When the recession hit and housing market took a dive he reinvented himself again as a manager of shipping and on-line sales for a large dealer in construction and farm equipment and parts.During his working years the family moved cross country twice. While living on the east coast he was able to pursue his interest in the Civil War, visiting battlefields and museums whenever he could. Lee has also had an avid lifetime passion about baseball.Cottage Ties is his first published book.voir moins
