She was a printer for nine years, fished commercially, worked for a large outdoor music festival, did research for a law firm, was interim director of a battered women’s shelter, drove a delivery truck for a diaper service, an apple orchard and an egg co-op, taught elementary school, painted houses (inside and out), with the occasional bartending and waiting tables thrown in for good measure. She holds a private pilot’s license, a commercial truck driver’s license, and a U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s license.Martha spent twenty-four years in the Caribbean working as a boat captain and scuba diving instructor before recently retiring to mid-Michigan.voir moins
