When she discovered that her colonial ancestors played a major role in the witch trials in Andover, she had to write the story. She created the diary of a real girl, her ancestor Maggie Bradstreet, who tells through her own eyes of the family's tribulations, both historical and remarkable, that occurred throughout the witchcraft hysteria that hit Puritan New England in 1692. A psychologist who taught, practiced, and conducted research for many years, Gretchen has published books and articles in psychology as well as short stories, memoir, and poetry. The Book of Maggie Bradstreet is her first novel. Anne of the Fens is her second.voir moins
