She loves traveling, especially internationa...voir plusStacie Cooper was born and raised in a beach community in southern California, where she currently resides with her adorable pup, Toby. She loves traveling, especially internationally, and has lived in both Spain and Costa Rica. She is a doctor of clinical psychology and worked in the field for eight years, mainly helping underprivileged adolescents and college students struggling with depression and eating/body image issues. However, she has always had a passion for writing and editing. During graduate school, she published a dissertation and several articles, and she loved serving as an informal “editor” for her fellow students and colleagues. Thus, she took a chance in 2009 and decided to pursue a full-time career as a freelance writer and editor instead of becoming a licensed clinical psychologist. She now works as a life coach with teenagers and young adults.
