She is not a licensed cosmetologist or a hair scientist, but she shares with you first hand experience of her journey to being natural, and in turn, her journey to being real.
“The key to being Naturally Fine is not to alter but to accept, not to hide or deceive but to shine and be seen.” This is what Trudy Agyeman stands for and stands by when it comes to being a natural woman.
Trudy made a hair and life transition when she decided that she didn’t want to be defined by her hair, but be beautiful all by herself. She understands that hair only makes up a small percentage of who someone is, where the larger percentage is an empowered woman who is not only confident and satisfied in her hair but also her abilities, skills, family, accomplishments, etc.
Trudy Agyeman’s desire is for all Curlies to embrace their hair AND their inner beauty. She is honest and open about her 8-year natural hair journey, with its setbacks, frustrations, and lots of joy. Being Naturally Fine carries with it a learning curve of finding out that what works for one individual’s hair texture may not work for another. No two Curlies are alike, just like no two people are alike.
Trudy Agyeman’s goal is to teach and encourage all Curlies before and during their journey to being Naturally Fine. Trudy lives in Toronto with her family and is a web/graphic designer by day and an author by night. Naturally Fine: How to Survive Your First Year with Natural Hair is her first title.voir moins
