Her childhood involved entertaining Disney foreign representatives who’d traveled to Burbank. They were the “Typical American Family” and escorted their guests to Disneyland.Cathy grew up with a great respect for all cultures and core values based on Disney ideals with a comic book twist. She attended Colorado College for two years as an English major before traveling to Europe for nine months. She transferred to the University of California, San Diego, and graduated magna cum laude in theatrical design.Her first job, as a lighting technician, was at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. There she met her husband and stayed. They combined their artistic skills and for thirty years have worked side-by-side as graphic designers in an art studio to the side of their house. They were two parents “home” to raise two smart, imaginative and sarcastic children.voir moins
