Second, I am a widow of a truly supportive and understanding husband whose life was claimed by the Big “C” far too early in his years. His life was a pattern of good works with many people benefiting from his deeds and tasks. Those ideals set forth by him helped to shape my lifestyle. As I wrote above, my sons have made me proud. I made a career choice following my graduation from high school based on a principle my parents taught me about money. I failed at that career choice, but that was fine by me – because it led to my marriage and that was the best choice I have ever made. My sons do not know that, as a teenager, I wanted to become a school teacher. My oldest son is a high school teacher now. I think that career choice by him embodies the examples his Dad set. Later in my years, I started thinking I would like to write down my thoughts in story form. I like reading all types of fiction and it made me think that my ideas would make interesting tales, too, for others to enjoy. My youngest son, early on, started writing short stories. He, too, put that career on a back burner until 2011 and now, he is a successful author and playwright. Again, he followed the advice of his late Dad: “Do the best at what you like doing!” With the benefit of his encouragement and guidance and thanks to him for sharing all of his experience, I am embarking on a career of writing fictional sagas. Finally, I enjoy my daytime work for the friendship I have with my fellow employees. My church fellowship is very important to me. My life goal and daily prayer has been and will always be to “make me a blessing to someone today”. My friends, beyond my work place, are very valuable to me. My sister-in-law is the woman whom I greatly admire because she has overcome many challenges life has given her and continues to help others despite her disabilities. I am happy and healthy and look forward to living past 100 years of age, if it is to be. My goal is simple: JOY. If you know its meaning, you have an idea of what I value the most in life.voir moins
