His first entrepreneurial venture, at age 14, was bottling his own brand of lighter fluid during a shortage. Since that time he has started 15 businesses, as well as having had a successful corporate career as an electro-mechanical project engineer, and manufacturing-process engineer.He has been issued 13 patents on devices as different as a bicycle transmission to replace the derailleur, a probing device for integrated circuits, and laparoscopic surgical instruments. He has three more patents awaiting issue at the time of this writing.Jack has authored four published books prior to this one, and has been a featured columnist for Inventors’ Digest magazine for the past 16 years.
