LAYOUT PROJECT Blajan station

LAYOUT PROJECT

This layout project combines the typical features of the Built on three modules each measuring 120 × 50cm, the focal point is a station inspired by that at Blajan with its two-door station building and its semi-detachednearby quarry: is features a small crusher, the crushed limestone being carried by a conveyor belt, at the end of which a drum screen tips the granulate into various chutes located above the wagons. To the left of the layout, the trains enter and leave the fiddleyard through a tunnel inspired by that found at Miramont, with its adjacent chapel, then run across an ungated level crossing. The road is not tarmacked, but covered with crushed white pebbles. To the right, the track curves out of the station before crossing a viaduct inspired by the structure at Boulogne, the Company’s finest piece of civil engineering. To fit onto the 120cm long module, the viaduct has been shortened and has only 6 arches instead of 8. The exit to the fiddleyard is concealed by trees.
