L’Île-d’Olonne Some historical

This line was part of a 366km long network conceded in 1897, then in 1913, to the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer de l’Etat, which created an affiliate to operate the system: the Compagnie des Tramways de la Vendée. The network was subsequently leased to the Compagnie des Chemins de Fer Départementaux in 1938. All services ended in 1950.
