Within 5 months he became Co-Chair of the Department's Graduate Committee. He is Co-Founder of the charity Inspired & Hired and author of 'The Grad Job Game' a book on getting graduate jobs. Johnny is personelly mentored by Lord Wei, the former Big Society Advisor to the Prime Minister. Johnny is also a guest columnist in 'The Chinese Weekly', a major international newspaper.
Johnny is a graduate from Durham University, with experience in the Financial Service Authority, Sun Life Financial and KPMG. Johnny taught science part time in Silver Tree Primary School and was credited in improving pass rates by 30% in just 10 weeks. He has worked with Durham Enactus to develop their Marketing Consulting Branch.
In 2012 he was awarded a prize for his dissertation on colorectal cancer and graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences (in Biology, Business and Geography). Johnny also won the 'Durham Award' and the 'Silver Cross' for his services to the community. Johnny was the Representative Committee Chairman at one of the largest College in Durham: St Cuthberts Society and its former Livers' Out Officer.
Passionate in sports, Johnny was the 2009 National Schools Rowing Gold Medallist and Captain of Rowing. At school he was the Senior Prefect for Year 7 and interim House Captain. He is the two-time House Champion in Debating and recipient of the Junior Debating Prize in 2005. At the age of 8, he won the junior regional checkers championships in the Netherlands.
Johnny has lived in 4 countries, can speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin and has an interest in writing, dancing and meeting passionate people.
