With 11 years of architecture and real estate development experience, a large part of which was devoted to the relationship between healthcare architecture and its effects on patients, he continues to work as a developer, freelance architectural illustrator, and French Professor.
Mr. Medenica concentrated on a large number of clinics, hospitals, retirement communities, and nursing homes in the Tri-State area and the world, including the new Jersey City Hospital, a state-of–the-art facility. With a formal education in architecture and real estate finance, he has had the ability to leverage design and construction with the financial world. While working as a freelance architectural illustrator, his passion of history led him to undertake extensive Medieval/ Renaissance studies in Europe with the University of Virginia, Syracuse University, and Parson’s School of Design. Through historical scholars of great repute, some of whom trace their roots to the most influential families of the Renaissance, he gained behind-the-scenes access to major cultural landmarks.
Living with a popular but misunderstood physician for most of his youth, Mr. Medenica has been able to bring urgent realism to the medical profession in his historical novel. The Good Healer is the first in a series of novels that employs medieval superstition and religious persecution as the backdrop for tales of innovation in healthcare architecture and healing methods. In addition to his love for history and medicine, he has a passion for Argentine Tango.
Mr. Medenica is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Columbia University, and New York University. He lives in Jersey City with his wife and two daughters.voir moins
