THE MOST PRECIOUS POP-UP ON AVENUE MONTAIGNE
he love between Paris and Tiffany & Co. is as strong as ever. Indeed, the jeweler – a symbol of elegance, visionary artistic craft and creative excellence since it was founded in 1837 – has opened a new store in the city: on Avenue Montaigne, one of the most celebrated Parisian streets for luxury stores,,” explains Anthony Ledru, CEO of Tiffany & Co. For one year, in the heart of the district around the juncture of Avenue Montaigne and Rue François I, opposite Dior’s 30 Montaigne, classic pieces – some of them never shown in Paris before – are on show along-side the firm’s dazzling collections. The boutique is a rhapsody of gold and blue. Surprisingly, though, instead of Tiffany &Co.’s usual signature bluish shade, a darker hue has been chosen, suggesting lapis lazuli. The expressionist walls are in backlit marble and thick carpeting covers the floor. The lamps designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany and their multicolored glass shades – which have unfailingly symbolized Tiffany & Co.’s art of living from the start – illuminate the store.
