he new J12 Tourbillon Calibre 5 presented at the most recent Watches and Wonders show has a mechanical movement with a flying tourbillon complication designed by Arnaud Chastaingt, director of Chanel’s Watchmaking Creation Studio. The first of its kind developed and produced in Chanel’s workshop in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, with 44 hours of power reserve, the movement is visible through the sapphire case back. The line includes a matt ceramic case and steel bezel set with baguette-cut ceramic and, in the polished version, a white gold bezel set with baguette-cut diamonds. Both series, each available in a limited edition of 55, have a flying tourbillon with a central rose-cut
