The electric motors fitted to our models don’t all operate on. For many years, coreless motors have become widespread. In this latter case, the copper winding isn’t carried by an iron core, but is a self-supporting cage that rotates around the magnet . While more efficient than armature motors, in particular at low voltages, coreless motors are fragile and cannot withstand high frequency pulsating currents.
